Nadia khansa
Founder, Executive Director
Nadia Khansa, originally from Lebanon, is the founder of Letters from Women of the World and executive director of all projects. She has a bachelor's of science in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Clinical Master's in International Disaster Psychology at the University of Denver. She hopes to incorporate art into her therapeutic process in the future. She might seem smol and fragile but she can actually build a house and is always ready to fight for her rights (and yours). You can find her at your nearest university library sobbing over her mountain of grad school books with her fists up.

Leah LeblancCreative Director, Producer
Leah Leblanc is a mental health advocate, ally-in-training, cat mom, amateur podcaster, mediocre writer, and wanna-be comedian. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and now works in conjunction with Trash Party Productions to create cinematic adaptations of poems from local artists for Letters from Women of the World. She is currently trying to pitch a TV show but is probably binge-watching BoJack Horseman instead.

Amélie DesormeauxSpecial Project Coordinator
Amélie Desormeaux, a native to Abbeville, Louisiana, graduated in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health from LSU in New Orleans with the plan to advocate for culturally appropriate women’s healthcare at home and in Latin America. Some days you may find her babysitting tomato plants at the community garden, others she may be creating performance art with a middle school’s projector, but no matter what you know she’s craving chocolate chip cookies.

Colleen O'ConnorSpecial Project Coordinator
Colleen is an undergrad student by day, majoring in English with a concentration in journalism, and a service industry renaissance woman by day and night. Reigning originally from Lafayette, Colleen relocated to New Orleans to continue her education at the University of New Orleans with the aspiration of teaching English internationally and freelance journalism. To find her may be difficult as she’s either playing imaginary Star Wars games with her preschool students, servicing the bourgeoisie of the French Quarter, or narrowly avoiding death by potholes while riding her bike across town.
